  • Getting to Trujillo:

    In Trujillo there is just only one seaport, one airport. But there are lots of bus terminals around the the city center.

  • By bus:
    Trujillo is on the Pan-American Highway with numerous connections towards north to Chiclayo, Mancora, Piura and towards south to Lima, Chimbote and Tumbes on the margin with Ecuador. Huamachuco and Otuzco are residing to the east of Trujillo. Chachapoyas, Cajamarca, Yurimaguas and Tarapoto are located to north east side and Huaraz and Caraz to South East side of Trujillo.

    1. Cruz del Sur:  Cruz del Sur is the most luxurious and has a good number of abusive taxi drivers. Also easy to book online with credit cards. Online sit booking website: Go2Peru/Trujillo
    2. Tepsa: One of the oldest existing Peruvian bus companies. TEPSA has been departing up and since 1953 TEPSA down the coast of Peru. Tepsa provide an excellent bus service (Presidential Bed Service) from Lima to Trujillo and Trujillo to Lima. Online sit booking website: Go2Peru/Trujillo
    3. Ormeño: It has buses to Buenos Aires, Santiago de Chile, Lima in Argentina and north to Tumbes, Guayaquil and Mancora.
    4. Transports Linea: It is a good and comfortable bus company to the majority destinations in north Peru. There is a comparatively worldwide ATM in their departure lounge on the Avenida America Sur. Transportes Linea have night journey buses to Huaraz.
    Movil Tours: It comes from Lima and leaves Trujillo at 3pm or 4pm via Chiclayo in 3 hours for Chachapoyas or Tarapoto. They have night journey buses to Huaraz.

By boat:
Every year during the summer month’s fifteen cruise ships arrive in Salaverry, which is 17 km away from the south-east of Trujillo.

By car:
If you want to hire a car it is most excellent way to go to Trujillo. In the hiring time you should search an experienced local driver, who is so much familiar with local driving habits, health and human life.
 
By train:
In the Trujillo area, there is no train service. The nearest train service is to the north in the museums in Chiclín, which is about 30 km and Pacasmayo, which is 100 km away.
