I went to Cusco for a week and stayed 2 nights in Inkaterra Hotel with my wife and 2 kids. It was a nice place to stay with an orchid garden. You can enjoy colorful bird life, Rare kind of orchids and also visit project of Andean bear that they are supporting.
We were happy with the hotel service! They met us at the station and took us to the hotel. The rooms were elegant and rusty.Only it was a little bit damp! I think it was because of the weather.
The meals were served in a riverside restaurant and the quality of food was good.We felt relaxed when they told us our breakfast and dinner were included with the hotel price.
Our room was decorated with unique antique furniture but the fire place was not in use. We had to call the front desk for fire wood , fire starter and bathroom essentials also.
On the whole we liked our room as well as the lounge where evening tea was served and pre-dinner pisco sour. The hotel also provided telephone, unlimited internet and welcome cocktail.
We booked a full day guided tour to Machu Picchu through the hotel and the guide was knowledgeable, Only that his English was unclear to us but we managed some how.He was gently encouraging and helping kids on long steep climb to the Sungate. He provided fruits and cool face towels for our comfort at the top.
The hotel staffs were friendly and helpful. They looked after our luggage while we hiked. On the whole we enjoyed our stay. If I visit Augus calientes again I would love to stay there.
