A helicopter service from Cusco to Aguas Calientes is now available for those who like to pay extra money to get maximum comfort. This service was provided by a 12 passenger helicopter by Heli- Cusco.

Iquitos is one of the largest city of Peru, where you can not get in by car or bus. Yes, Iquitos is not connected to mainland of Peru by road. You can go there only by boat or plane. Iquitos is known as the largest continental city not connected by road.

Reaching Amazon from Iquitos

If you are interested to reach rain forest from here, you have different choices. You can choose to stay in forest lodges, some of which are only few hours boat

 

drive from Iquitos. Another good option is taking river cruise. River cruise within the rain forest is interesting and a thrilling experience. Third option is for those who are adventurous, which is taking independent guided trek. If you choose to get in rain forest from Iquitos, it is a bit cheaper than if Manu on the southeastern Peru.
